Every PXLPOD site runs on WordPress on WP Engineโs enterprise infrastructure. One stack means every site gets the same security standards, the same performance architecture, the same monitoring and response tools, and nineteen years of institutional knowledge. Itโs also the only way we can take responsibility for the whole site, which is what SecurePod Care is.

PXLPOD is a new company.
Founded in 2007, under three names on three domains. The business is the same; the name finally matches it.
A small team means limited capability.
It means no account layer. Strategy, project management, design, content, and development each have a specialist, and you talk to them directly.
An agency and a website manager are the same thing.
An agency hands the site back when the project ends. We keep it: hosting, updates, improvements, and the long relationship. Our longest-standing client has been with us since 2009.
You need to be local.
Asheville, North Carolina is home. Most of our clients have never been in the same room with us; the work happens over a call and a shared screen.
WordPress-only is a limitation.
Itโs a choice made after building on everything else. One stack, known deeply, on infrastructure we control.

Are you an agency?
Weโre a website management company that also builds. The difference matters: an agency hands the site back when the project ends. We donโt. Also, agencies are throttled by bureaucracy. We work directly with several agencies to fulfill their clients’ needs.
Do you work outside North Carolina?
Oh yes. Most of our clients have never been in the same room with us; the work happens over a call and a shared screen. Our clients are all over the United States and a few in Europe as well.
How long have you been doing this?
Since 2007. Weโve got 19 years of experience in web strategy, weโve built ~700 websites in that time, and we have hundreds of websites under management on our enterprise hosting platform.
Who hosts the sites?
We do, on WP Engine, with our own monitoring and management on top. Every site we build or manage lives there. We mostly charge what WP Engine charges so you could go directly through them, but we’ve got additional security and service layers on top of what they provide, and we put you on their enterprise-level servers which you can’t get access to at the single-site consumer pricing tiers.
