PXLPOD Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed September 1, 2026
We build websites for a living, so we hold our own to the standard we'd apply to a client's.

What we measure against

We work toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We don't claim to have reached it — that's a claim very few sites can honestly make, and one that stops being true the moment somebody publishes a new page.

What we can tell you is that we measure. This site is audited every month using automated testing across a sample of pages covering every page template, followed by manual keyboard checks that automation can't perform. Findings are logged, prioritised and worked through on a tracked cycle.

This site was last audited on 1 September 2026.

What we don't use

We do not use an accessibility overlay, widget or toolbar, and we removed the one we previously had.

Overlays sit on top of a website and adjust it after it loads. They don't fix the underlying problems, they introduce new ones of their own, and people who rely on assistive technology have been clear for years that they'd rather we fixed the site. So we fix the site.

What we know isn't finished

An honest statement names its gaps. As of the last audit:

  • Some decorative illustrations contain text that doesn't yet meet contrast requirements at every size.
  • At least one page contains video without captions.
  • A small number of interactive illustrations aren't fully reachable by keyboard.
  • Our consent banner is provided by a third party. We've verified it can be operated and dismissed by keyboard, but we don't control its markup.

These are tracked and worked through in our normal cycle. This list is current as of the audit date above and will change as we go.

What automated testing can't tell us

Automated tools find a meaningful share of accessibility problems — not all of them. They can't judge whether alt text is accurate, whether reading order makes sense, whether an error message is comprehensible, or whether captions match what's actually said. Those need a person, and we do that work by hand.

If something doesn't work for you

If you hit a barrier on this site, please tell us. We'd genuinely rather know.

We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to tell you what we're going to do about it within ten. If a fix will take longer than that, we'll say so and give you a way to get what you needed in the meantime.
