You are the brand. The site shouldn't get in the way.
Websites for experts whose product is themselves: programs, bookings, courses, and a speaking page that books the next stage.
A planner opens a dozen speaker sites in tabs and gives each one a few seconds: whatโs the promise, whereโs the reel, how do I book. A coaching prospect does the same with who you help and what changes. Most expert sites talk about the expert instead. We write the message first, then build a site that sells the program, books the keynote, and runs the course without you becoming your own webmaster between gigs.
Nine ways an expertโs website loses the booking before the inquiry.
These are the concerns we hear most, and the ones the research backs up. Each one is a page, a post, or a fix waiting to happen.
Planners look at my site and never call
A planner opens a dozen speaker sites and skims each for the one-line promise, talk titles with outcomes, proof, and a way to book. A cluttered homepage, a slow load, no reel above the fold, or a โcontact meโ form where a โbook meโ page should be reads as risk to someone who has to justify the pick to a committee. The inquiry never arrives, so you never learn it was lost.
My demo reel gets me hired, and itโs buried
The reel is the closest thing to a live audition, and planners watch it only after the site passes the skim. No video, a video over five minutes, over-produced, or hosted in a way that stalls on a phone, and the audition never happens.
I canโt find my own one-sheet, and neither can they
Planners lay one-sheets side by side and forward them to decision-makers. Most speakers have a stale PDF in the footer with an old headshot, an old fee range, and retired topics, or none at all. A one-sheet that contradicts the site costs credibility instead of adding it.
Kajabi owns my list, my courses, and now my price
The all-in-one platform bundles site, courses, email, checkout, and community, and leaving means losing all of them at once: no bulk course export, automations that donโt come with you, subscriptions whose card tokens stay behind. When the price goes up with no grandfathering, you pay or you face a migration you never planned.
My site is on Wix, and it canโt leave
Wix states plainly that a Wix site runs only on Wix. Squarespace exports blog posts and basic pages, not events, products, or design. The expert who outgrew the DIY site discovers the โmoveโ is a from-scratch rebuild, usually at the worst moment: a bureau request, a book launch, a rebrand.
My launch emails went to spam
Program revenue is launch-driven: a ten-day sequence to a list. Since 2024 the major inboxes require proper domain authentication and one-click unsubscribe for bulk senders. A domain set up by a previous designer, or sending from the email toolโs shared domain, lands in Promotions. A launch that under-delivers by a third is a direct loss with no obvious cause.
My course videos arenโt captioned, and I didnโt know that mattered
Uncaptioned course video has been treated as an accessibility violation since the university cases a decade ago, and test-prep companies have paid to settle it since. A two-thousand-dollar program sold through an LMS carries the same exposure at smaller scale.
The person who built it is gone, and I donโt own the logins
A VA, a student, or a designer registered the domain and hosting in their own name. The site goes โAccount Suspendedโ or needs a change, and the registrar treats the designer as the owner. The primary booking channel is dark during recovery.
ChatGPT recommends other speakers, not me
Planners and HR buyers increasingly start the shortlist with an AI assistant. The bureaus say those tools miss speakers with a thin online footprint. Topics, outcomes, and past clients that live only in a PDF, an image, or a platform page with no structure are invisible to that first pass.

Your webmaster between launches: the new program page goes up when the program does, the speaking page stays current, and the course platform handoff keeps working while you're on stage.

Marketing firms change. Platforms change. The website shouldnโt have to change with them. We own the website layer and plug into everything around it.
What we solved for them we can solve for you too.

โPlanners find me through the bureau, so my own site doesnโt matter.โ
The site comes first now. Planners have usually read it and watched the reel before any bureau conversation, and the bureau sends them there anyway.
โA longer, more produced demo reel is more impressive.โ
Planners want two uninterrupted minutes in front of a live audience. Reels over five minutes and commercial-style edits are on the list of things that kill a booking.
โHiding my fees keeps me from scaring people off.โ
Hidden pricing signals youโre not confident in it, and the expense is implied anyway. Pricing with proof beside it converts; for keynotes, a โfees fromโ range is the usual compromise.
โSix tools and a few Zaps is a system.โ
Itโs a system until a sale on one tool fails to trigger the enrollment on the next, and nobody is watching the Zap history. You find out from the angry buyer.
โA blog I havenโt touched in a year is better than no blog.โ
It isnโt. Prospects read a stale blog as a sign you may not be in business anymore. Remove it or keep it current; thereโs no third option.
Questions Coaches & Speakers clients ask first.
Will you actually write my copy?
Yes. We draft, you correct. Most experts canโt write about themselves, and shouldnโt have to. The message is settled before anything gets designed.
Do you work with my course platform?
LearnDash lives on the site itself. Kajabi, Teachable, and Thinkific stay where they are and connect; we own the website layer and the paths into them. If youโre leaving one, we plan the migration before the price change forces it.
Can the site handle speaking inquiries and program sales at once?
Thatโs the usual shape: a speaking page a planner can act on, a program page a buyer can act on, and a home page that routes each to the right door.
What does it cost?
SecurePod Care runs from $379 a month with hosting included. Rebuilds start at $3,200. The free audit tells you which you need first.
Will you name me on your site?
Only with your permission, and only once youโve approved the case study.
